Players will lead their own team of adventurers, featuring a charming cast of diverse characters. Renowned Explorers is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux computers. The game's release is coming soon — September 2, as confirmed by a video published on June 30. Furthermore, according to Manuel Kerssemakers, lead programmer at Abbey Game, a version for the ambitious platform SteamOS is also possible.

The gamer will not only discover new lands but also appropriate the local riches. Naturally, the natives will resist this. This is where strategic thinking comes into play. Sometimes you'll have to act brutally, sometimes you'll have to charm the natives. Note that battles are turn-based.
