Toada Brava is a Japanese role-playing game with turn-based combat, in which a group of prisoners attempts to escape a labor camp and challenge the authority of the Duke of Santa Cruz. The story begins with a monkey named Kako, who loses his home and family after his native lands are seized. The search for his mother quickly turns into a perilous journey through a world where wealth, power, and ancient secrets are intertwined.
The escape begins
On his journey to freedom, the hero encounters a variety of allies who found themselves on the wrong side of the law against their will. Each companion has their own story, personality, and set of abilities. Together, they navigate prisons, mines, and secure areas, encountering both rebellious prisoners and the Duke's armed forces.
Battles take place directly on the map, without separate loading screens. A sense of rhythm plays a crucial role: well-timed actions allow you to enhance attacks and counter enemy attacks. The combat system is enhanced by magical abilities linked to music and the use of various instruments, giving each character additional personality.
