Slashers
A slasher is an action game that emphasizes close combat: the hero, armed with a sword, blades, or fists, cuts through crowds of enemies, stringing together combos and dodging at the last moment. A good slasher rewards skill: the more varied and precise your attacks, the higher your score and the more spectacular the fight. Classics of the genre include Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, and Ninja Gaiden.
In a slasher, you control every blow and combo, and combat is all about reaction. In an action RPG like Diablo, gear and leveling up are more important, and the camera is usually viewed from above.
Is it suitable for a beginner?Yes, if you choose an easy difficulty: many slashers offer simplified combo controls. However, higher difficulty levels are designed for those willing to hone their technique.
