Monolith Productions is opening up this opportunity with its new action/RPG project, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. It's not based on The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings, although the story takes place between the adventures of the Bagginses and their companions. The main character is the ranger Talion. It must be said, he's quite unusual. The thing is, Talion was dead, but resurrected. Sauron is responsible for death, and the spirit of the elf Celebrimbor, who was involved in the creation of the One Ring, is responsible for rebirth. Remarkably, Talion possesses magical abilities similar to those of the Nazgûl.

The creators implemented a unique "Nemesis" system that makes each character unique. They remember encounters with Talion, and this influences their fate. The system also allows for customization of their appearance.
