Games with local multiplayer
Games you can play with two or more people on a single computer — no internet connection or separate copies of the game required. Some players use gamepads, others share a keyboard, and the screen is shared or split. It's the perfect way to spend an evening with friends: party games, fighting games, co-op adventures, and sports simulators.
Preferred: In most of these games, the second player is more comfortable with a controller. However, there are games where two players can share a keyboard.
How is this different from a network cooperative?In online co-op, everyone plays on their own computer over the internet. Here, everyone is on the same screen. See also the "Two-Player Games" section.
