Building a fleet

Ships are now placed on a fixed grid, eliminating the need to manually align each individual vessel. Formations are formed from squadrons of a certain size: one massive cruiser, four large frigates, or twenty-five small fighters. All ships deploy in a single formation, with the strongest ship in each column becoming the lead ship. As the leading ships are destroyed, the remaining ships gradually advance and engage the enemy.

Formation alone isn't enough — the player can issue orders to the entire formation, determining the distance to the enemy, priority targets, and firing conditions. The correct combination of formation and orders allows for consistent destruction of shields, penetration of armor, and destruction of the hulls of enemy ships. Victory comes from the complete destruction of the enemy fleet, and defeat occurs when at least one enemy ship breaks through the defenses and reaches the player's worlds behind. Therefore, it is essential not only to destroy enemies but also to prevent any breakthroughs.
