CASE: Animatronics Redux is a first-person horror game about detective John Bishop, who finds himself trapped inside a police station during his night shift. After the security system is hacked, the lights go out, all exits are blocked, and dangerous animatronics begin moving through the dark corridors. To survive the night, you'll have to explore the station, search for answers, and constantly keep an eye out for what lurks in the darkness.

The updated area has become significantly larger and now includes new rooms, hidden passages, and locked offices. While exploring, you can find clues and complete small challenges that help piece together the attack. A tablet is used to monitor the scene: it can be used to monitor cameras, disable power, and distract mechanical pursuers, buying time for further progress.
The animatronics have acquired new behavior patterns and are less predictable. To escape, players will need to use cover, environmental objects, and alternative routes, trying to avoid them. Some situations will require quick reactions, while others require patience and caution. The player's actions determine the further course of events and one of several possible endings of the story.
