Steel Artery: Train City Builder — is a city-building simulator where the entire city is contained within a giant train hurtling through a steampunk fantasy world. Instead of a traditional map, you build the train car by car, transforming the locomotive into a vast, vibrant metropolis. Some cars become residential areas, others factories, taverns, warehouses, or mines. And the longer the train, the more challenging it becomes to keep everything running.
Residents here decide for themselves how to live.
Humans, orcs, elves, and other races don't wait for direct orders from the player. They independently search for work, spend money, rest, change professions, and react to living conditions on the train. If a worker finds it inconvenient to get to the factory, they can simply leave. If one race begins to live better than the others, tension quickly rises within the train. In poor conditions, everything easily descends into chaos, conflict, and even more unpleasant consequences, such as cannibalism.
The route also influences the city's development. To support the economy, the train must stop in different regions, extract resources, and manage logistics between cars. Inappropriate placement of production facilities quickly creates problems: residents spend too much time commuting, resources become stuck, and the economy gradually collapses. Therefore, the train must be conceived not only as a beautiful city but also as a vast, moving system.
