Loya is an unusual open-world survival adventure where, instead of a traditional base, you have a massive walking fortress on mechanical legs. The entire game revolves around constant movement: you gather resources, rebuild your mobile shelter, install new guns, and gradually transform your small mobile home into a fully-fledged combat vehicle capable of withstanding clashes with giant monsters. At the same time, the world doesn't rush you forward, allowing you to explore vast territories at your own pace.
The house here becomes the main weapon
Much of survival revolves around developing your walking fortress. You need to find materials, strengthen your defenses, install weapons, and plan your building placement, as some enemies are too massive for simple foot combat. At such moments, your base becomes a veritable battlefield: you have to man the cannons yourself, maneuver, and literally fend off monsters that can demolish a poorly prepared structure in seconds.
The game isn't limited to surface exploration, however. The world is full of dungeons, caves, and hidden places that you have to explore without your own stronghold. The contrast between leisurely forays on foot and massive boss battles creates a sense of constant adventure, where you never know what awaits over the next hill — rare resources, a new dungeon, or another house-sized monster.
