Painted Kingdoms: Tower Defense & Firefighting

Painted Kingdoms is a minimalist strategy game featuring drawing, building, and defense, where a kingdom is created directly with a brush on a paper map. Each line shapes the world: forests fortify positions, lakes help fight fires, and new patches of land open up space for defense. But peace doesn't last long — waves of enemies and flames constantly test the strength of the drawn kingdom.

Brush against fire

Development begins with the search for pigments, which are used to create buildings and fortifications. Some areas are better suited for defense, while others allow for further development. Decisions must be made quickly: time is running out before the next attack, and any mistake in the placement of buildings can open a gap in the defense.

When a new wave begins, defender squads appear on the map. Their placement determines which areas will withstand the onslaught. Sometimes force must be used to stop the enemy, sometimes water to extinguish the fire spreading across the paper world. The further the campaign progresses, the more dangerous the enemies become.
