Radiance of Souls – a psychological horror game from indie developer Langonier, released on February 16, 2026. A girl named Elena sails on a yacht to the remote island station "AURA," where her brother Ilya lives, the only family member left to her after the death of her parents.
The brother who doesn't come out
No one comes out to greet the guest. Generators hum on the island, a freezing wind blows, and the staff posts are empty. Ilya is somewhere nearby; he hears his sister and leaves her notes, but each time he finds a reason not to show up. The explanations in the letters become increasingly bizarre: for example, her brother is afraid of doorknobs for some reason. The notes lead Elena deeper into the complex, and with each new note, she feels less and less inclined to trust them.
Night in the laboratories
Most of the game takes place at night in the station's rusty laboratories, hangars, and living quarters. You'll need to search for items, solve puzzles, and figure out why the staff has abandoned their work stations so hastily. Along the way, you encounter characters you can talk to, and the plot gradually unfolds from individual discoveries. According to the developer, everything only comes together at the very end. The developer immediately warns of sudden jump scares and advises moving away anything that could be hit if you jump in fear. While the game does feature blood and corpses, the developer promises to avoid gore.
