MINISTRY OF TRUTH: 1984 — is a story-driven simulation of life within a totalitarian state, where truth itself doesn't exist. You are appointed an official of the Ministry of Truth and are responsible for adjusting facts, rewriting history, and creating the only acceptable version of reality approved by the Party. Any deviation is considered a crime.
Control mechanism
The work process revolves around document analysis, archival correction, and the resolution of contradictions. Every decision made affects public perception of the past and your position within the system. Errors are recorded, doubts are noted, and any inaccuracy can be seen as a threat to the regime's stability.
Outside of work, you participate in mandatory rituals, including the Two Minutes of Hate. Collective rage suppresses personal emotions and strengthens loyalty. Gradually, the line between sincere faith and fear blurs, and service to the Party becomes the only way to maintain security.
