Owners of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles will likely remember the real-time tactical strategy game Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War, released in 2007. As its title suggests, its plot revolves around the Hundred Years' War, which took place between England and France in the 14th and 15th centuries. Now, developer Omega Force and publisher Koei are planning to send gamers to war in a fantasy world. This isn't a new installment, but a reboot.
The game is called Bladestorm: Nightmare. The second word, which translates as "nightmare," hints at an even more terrifying experience on the battlefield. The project not only features improved graphics and a cast of mythical creatures, but also reworked gameplay. It also offers a unique opportunity to step into the shoes of a historical commander! The release is scheduled for March on the major next-gen consoles, but PC owners will have to wait until May.
