Motel Life Simulator – a roadside motel owner simulator from Shadow Owl Studios, released in early access. The game is played from a first-person perspective, and almost everything is done manually, from fixing windows to cleaning the parking lot.

Motel by the highway

At the beginning, you have a modest building by the road and a few rooms that still need to be renovated. Guests arrive in all sorts of cars, and some have their own stories and personalities. They need a clean room, food, and at least some entertainment. While rooms are limited, there's only enough money for the bare necessities, so the first few shifts are spent on cleaning, repairs, and occupancy. Later, the motel can be rebuilt, expanded, and new rooms opened, meaning it can accommodate more guests per night.

Repair by own hands

A lot breaks here: electronics, windows, small items in the rooms. You have to buy and install the parts yourself, otherwise the guest will be dissatisfied. The motel's surroundings are also your responsibility. If the parking lot is littered and the hallway is dirty, your rating drops, and guests start grumbling. Because of this, the game is heavily time-based: cleaning the room before the next car arrives can be more difficult than it seems.

Snack bar and gas station

Once the motel starts turning a profit, you can expand it with a diner. It employs hired chefs, and you create your own menu. Across the street, you're allowed to open a gas station, which provides another source of income, as almost all guests arrive by car. The full version promises random events and weather changes.
