However, German indie game developer Vulkanic has set itself a challenging goal: not just to surprise, but to captivate sophisticated viewers with its new product. PROXIMA UNIVERSE Available on PC via torrent, in Russian. This shooter aims for maximum realism, despite the fact that the action takes place on the Earth-like planet Alterra, populated by humanoid robots.
Detailed environmental graphics allow you to enjoy stunning panoramas and vegetation that mimics real-life terrestrial flora. The game also features a 24-hour day/night cycle, which can be synced to your computer's location. For example, starting the game in the morning, you can watch in real time as the fog first appears and then melts under the bright rays of a rising star. You can also customize your weather conditions.
The server supports up to 100 simultaneous users, divided into four teams. Three types of robots are available: riflemen, mechanics, and defenders. This division is necessary to ensure equitable roles within the teams. Several more classes are currently in development.
The continental map can be divided into zones, which will then be fought over. One round lasts 20 to 25 minutes.
Multiplayer artificial intelligence plays a vital role. Its job is to effectively regulate the war economy. For example, a player will be rewarded with points for an excellent battle, while carelessness will result in a penalty. Furthermore, all spare parts and ammunition are replenished through this AI.
Weapons are divided into two main types: ballistic (Horizon series) and plasma (Stellar). Each line has its own advantages and disadvantages. Bows and arrows and various grenades serve as support weapons.
