The Flock

Dutch developers are mastering the art with their project The Flock The Steam online store will be available later in 2015. Access to the game is therefore paid, but not everyone will have access. The creators decided to bring the horror genre a bit closer to reality by implementing an interesting sales model: the game is available for purchase for a limited time, but (!) early adopters will have better luck, as every death in the game automatically reduces the remaining time available for purchase.

Game features:
- An unusual sales system: a dead player takes away the time remaining for others to purchase. For convenience, a counter for checking the remaining time is available (both in the game and on Steam). Upon death, a player takes one unit from the total; when the counter reaches zero, the sale closes.
What happens after the sale ends? The creators announced a special event immediately after the game's sale ends. Those who have already purchased the game will be able to participate. The creators described the event as a cinematic finale.
- "Cinematic Finale" – what it will be is unknown, but it is known that after it ends, the game will be inaccessible to all users. It's like a "shopping mall" – hurry up and buy one, the number of "tickets to the afterlife" is limited!
The story takes the player back to Earth in the year 3000. The planet has changed dramatically, and an environmental catastrophe is to blame. Humanity has been replaced by the Flock — nimble monsters threatened by the Carrier race. While not as fast, they possess the Artifact of Light, which is deadly to the Flock.
The game is dedicated to the confrontation between two races; the gameplay consists of multiplayer matches with the participation of three to five players.
There are no battles as such in the game; it's more of a "flip-flop" game. A new match begins with all players initially being Flock. An Artifact of Light appears on the map. The first player to touch it becomes the Carrier, who can use the Artifact to destroy Flock. The only way to escape the Artifact's effects is to stop in place if you accidentally get caught in the beam of light. Flock can attack the Carrier, taking the Artifact, which becomes a member of the opposite race, and the Carrier, upon respawning, transforms into Flock. Preserving the Artifact's light becomes a crucial task during the match.
