Civilization Beyond Earth Rising Tide

Last October, the American studio Firaxis Games released a new installment in the renowned turn-based strategy series, Civilization Beyond Earth. The first official expansion, titled Rising Tide, is scheduled for release this fall. Various theories have been floated regarding the meaning of the title. For example, it could refer to a surge of emotions as the fight for survival becomes increasingly difficult...

However, there's no need to look for deeper meanings, since this concerns an element to which the tides are a natural. Yes, it's water, lots of water... Water territories once served as a barrier to the expansion of civilization, but now it's the other way around. We will be able to explore and conquer water territories, and even more so, we will be able to explore underwater territories, which is extremely attractive, as they hide vital resources... It must be said that all sorts of monsters also lurk there, so be prepared to encounter a previously unknown force!

Features of the Rising Tide add-on:
- The endless expanses of water are now at your disposal! Conquer territories, mine valuable resources from the seabed, construct new structures, develop civilization, and battle other colonies and terrifying sea monsters.
- New branches of the development tree. Several new hybrid branches will allow you to develop your troops in different directions simultaneously. This will allow you to acquire unique units and original upgrades for your buildings.
- The number of sponsors is growing... Four new factions have appeared in the world, bringing even more diversity to the game. One of these factions is a group of explorers from powerful Middle Eastern states. These people boast a rich cultural and trading heritage.
- Leaders have become truly individual. They have developed their own views and skills, which will greatly influence diplomatic relations with representatives of other colonies. Moreover, as the game progresses, you can change the leaders' characteristics by unlocking new skills. This makes diplomacy dynamic, varied, and effective. Its nature will also depend on the faction under whose influence the civilization develops.
- Collecting artifacts will become even more interesting! The system for finding and collecting relics on various planets has been significantly modernized. Either individually or in combination, these ancient treasures can unlock significant upgrades for your civilization's buildings and units.
- Experience new sensations in new biomes. Beyond Earth introduces two new locations: a volcanically active pristine world whose landscape can only be described as chaotic; and a frozen world covered in icy oceans and frozen tundra.
