Nicole takes the family lawyer with her to assess the condition of the old estate, but the weather suddenly turns bad, forcing her to wait out the storm in an unfamiliar hotel nestled in the mountains. Federal Emergency Management Agency employee Irving, who communicates with Nicole via an old radio, is her only support and help. Together, they begin to unravel the complex events that took place 10 years ago. The story of love and death is closely intertwined here, and the main characters experience a full range of emotions, from nostalgia and melancholy to oppressive fear and a sense of hopelessness.
