Down There Yet? – a co-op adventure about drilling deep into the planet from the small studio Tbjbu2. A team of one, two, three, or four players boards a drilling rover and drills their way down to the core. A Steam release date has not yet been announced.
Down on an all-terrain vehicle
The main tool here is the machine. An all-terrain vehicle with a drill goes where you point it, but you have to dig the tunnel yourself: through sand, solid rock, lava, and gas pockets. The world is vertical and descends in several layers, each with its own biome and its own dangers. The graphics are voxel-based, and you literally carve a path through the rock yourself, so each team's route is unique. The game is also listed as procedurally generated in Steam's tags.
What lies beneath the sand
The deeper you go, the more interesting things begin. You'll encounter lava caves, gas fields, alien tunnels, ancient fossils, and buried ruins. Rare materials and treasures are also found there, making it worthwhile to deviate from the straight path. The loot you collect goes toward upgrading and customizing your rover and equipment, and with each upgrade you can descend into more dangerous layers.
Chaos for four
The developers are clearly focusing on the fun and frenetic nature of group play: someone drives, someone digs, and someone collects finds, all at once. You can play solo, but the main mode is designed for online co-op. The title clearly echoes RV There Yet?, which also features a group of friends traveling together in a single vehicle, only this time the journey goes underground. Download torrent Down There Yet?
