ComingHome — is a narrative-driven horror story with a distinctly visual novel feel, beginning with an ordinary homecoming. So-eun, a high school girl with an easygoing personality and a love of animals, encounters a cat, and a brief moment of calm sets off a series of strange events. Reality gradually distorts, and the shadow of Baikmyeongwi begins to draw closer.
Incomplete seal
The events unfold from an ancient legend about a demon with a hundred faces who seduced people and turned them into his servants. The exorcist Byundam attempted to stop him, sacrificing his life and creating a seal that proved imperfect. It was because of this flaw that Baikmyeongwi was able to maintain a weak but dangerous influence on the human world.
Seo-eun finds herself trapped by a demon, where every event becomes part of its game. Her only means of protection is the red bean, an ancient tool for exorcising spirits. As the story unfolds, its use changes, culminating on the eighth day. The game emphasizes narrative, imagery, and the gradual unfolding of myth, rather than fast-paced action.
