DRUDGE is a grim survival game under total control, where every action is assessed by a system of punishments. The player begins as a slave with a collar around their neck, complying with regulations for the right to exist. Mistakes, delays, and disobedience are punished instantly, and progress is achieved only through hard work and risk.
Quotas, labor and constant pressure
The player performs mandatory tasks established by the system. Sorting trash, growing food, and forays into the lower levels become a source of income and access to new areas. Each task is bound by rules, and deviations lead to immediate consequences, reinforcing the feeling of dependence and control.
Pressure intensifies through limited resources and the threat of punishment. Earned funds are used to purchase equipment, open passages, and prepare for more dangerous forays. Gradually, the opportunity arises to plan actions, mitigate risks, and seek a path to freedom within the hostile system.
