Warlords Battle Simulator – a tactical autobattler with roguelike elements from RedKar Devs, published by RedKar Devs and Hawthorn Games, released on November 5, 2024. You don't control your soldiers during combat: all the work is done beforehand, when you choose who to take and where to place them.

The arrangement decides

The combat here is spontaneous, and preparation is up to the player. Before each battle, you must assemble a squad and deploy it on the field so that the strengths of some units offset the weaknesses of others. Combining troop types is as important as their numbers: a successful combination can overcome an army larger than its own, while a poor one will fall apart within seconds. Once the deployment is ready, all that's left to do is watch as medieval and fantasy troops clash on the field. The battle physics are fair, so clashes look chaotic and sometimes quite funny.

One Hundred Trials and a Sandbox

The main mode is structured like a roguelike: you play through a series of battles, and your path is shaped by the decisions you make between them. There are over a hundred challenges, and they vary in terms of conditions, so the same army won't be suitable for all. There's also a separate sandbox mode where you can create any battle to your liking, align both sides, and see who wins. This is convenient for testing out a new unit combination before bringing it into the main mode.

Not to be confused with Warlords Battlecry

The site does have Warlords: Battlecry 3, but it's an older real-time strategy game from a different series.
