It's a good thing there aren't the city's notorious traffic jams, but it's still sometimes more convenient to take public transportation. The city is not only expansive, but also very tall. The skyscrapers house shopping and business centers, which Nikko can easily stroll through.

The pace of modern life is perfectly captured. Everyone in Liberty City uses cell phones, computers, and deals with business matters. Nikko will have to deal with this too. The people around him have become smarter, so they won't allow themselves to be bullied too much; the guy could find himself wanted at any moment.
