Mirages of Winter

Mirages of Winter – a quiet, poetic first-person adventure from Mirari Games, published by PID Games and Dear Villagers, released on November 22, 2022. The game's world is drawn in ink, and the goal of the journey is to pave the way from winter to spring.

Five essences of nature

The hero wanders a snowy world in search of five essences, each associated with one of the natural elements. The essences discovered open new paths, and step by step, the frigid landscape gives way to spring. Puzzles are based on the surrounding nature: they take their time and are more calming than challenging. The controls are simple: point and click, and you can also play with a gamepad.

Ink, Poetry, and Taoism

The game's visual style and theme are inspired by Taoism and Zen. The world is filled with living creatures and small hidden details worth discovering. Along the way, you'll encounter poems about the arrival of spring and living in harmony with nature. The music was composed specifically for the game and features the daegeum, a traditional Korean bamboo flute. All of this adds up to a leisurely, contemplative journey, closer to an interactive painting than a typical quest.

For the whole family

You can play alone, or you can play the game together with children or parents: there is no violence or difficult challenges. It has nothing in common with similarly named Winter and Mirage 7.
