Soldiers of Anarchy

Soldiers of Anarchy – a real-time tactical strategy game from the German studio Silver Style Entertainment, released in 2002. It's a squad-based tactics game set in a post-apocalyptic world: you control a small group of soldiers, vehicles, and weapons, and you must acquire equipment in battle.

Ten years in a bunker

The story takes place in 2015. Ten years earlier, the artificial virus SGDS, Spontaneous Genome Degeneration Syndrome, killed billions of people. Four soldiers spent this entire time waiting out the epidemic in a bunker at the Russian military base in Kalinin. When they emerge, the old world is gone. The central government has collapsed, territories have been divided among gangs, and the Seekers are scavenging for surviving technology, the trade of which is controlled by their guild. The squad must survive and understand the origin of the virus.

Squad, equipment, trophies

The camera is overhead and rotates, and battles unfold in real time. The squad begins with virtually no equipment, acquiring weapons and vehicles throughout the campaign. Soldiers have specializations, including heavy weapons, explosives, and medical equipment, and equipment is equipped through the inventory screen. There's a wide variety of vehicles, from armored personnel carriers and tanks to helicopters and fighter jets, and your own soldiers are placed behind the wheel or at the controls. After the second mission, the team gains access to a military base where they can buy and sell equipment, upgrade vehicles, and prepare their men for missions. Missions are tied to the voiced plot, and some additional missions are not announced in advance.

Three endings

Decisions throughout the campaign lead to one of three endings. You can surrender and become cyborg Death Knights, engage in combat with COTUC, which will end in bloodshed, or support NOAH and assassinate the COTUC leader.
