Changes: Added the ability to play online [Changes]
In 2005, the British studio Rebellion Developments released the sniper simulator Sniper Elite, and in 2012, they released its remake, Sniper Elite 2. The "V2" designation serves two purposes: first, it indicates that this is the second version of the project, and second, it serves as a designation of the game's target — the long-range V-2 ballistic missile.
The V-2 rocket is the only change in the plot. The protagonist is the same American sniper, Karl Fairbairn. The story once again takes place at the end of World War II, during the Battle of Berlin. The sniper is once again deployed to the city to confront German scientists single-handedly. But this time, the scientists are working on creating not an atomic bomb, but a V-2 ballistic missile. Of course, the graphics have also been significantly improved.
Sniper Elite 2 Features: Although the hero's arsenal includes grenades, dynamite, a pistol, and a machine gun in addition to a sniper rifle, the gameplay is designed for stealth. You must always carefully study the terrain, choosing the right spot for a precise yet stealthy attack. Sniper Elite 2 is a simulator, so a strong emphasis is placed on authenticity. Shot accuracy is affected by many factors: wind direction and speed, gravity, aiming stability, bullet speed, weight, and penetration, among others. The sniper's heart rate also plays a role — the higher it is, the lower the aiming accuracy. Heart rate increases while running and while using the target lock feature. The developers made not only the sniper rifle shooting realistic, but also the entire environment. The streets of Berlin, the military uniforms, the weapon models — everything looks exactly as it actually was. This solution increases the level of immersion in the gameplay, making it even more exciting to complete missions perfectly.
