Edge Of Space – a 2D sci-fi sandbox survival game with co-op from HandyMan Studios, the full version was released on September 17, 2015. Its design is closer to Terraria and Starbound than to space strategy games: the world is procedural, with caves and layers, and the main focus is digging, building, and fighting.
The ship has gone off course
The hero works for the Ark Corporation, which searches the far reaches of the universe for planets suitable for terraforming. After a long period of cryosleep, he awakens to find his ship far off course and damaged near an unfamiliar planet. He has no choice: he must descend, gather resources, and survive long enough to complete the mission. Caves, wormholes, and deep layers containing rare materials are randomly generated.
Penguins with jetpacks and laser sharks
The planet's fauna is aggressive and rather strange. Polar bears wielding artillery, penguins on jetpacks, sharks with lasers, and bosses like DJ Penguin and Omegatron are among them. Weapons are also generated: you can find homing rocket launchers and experimental Gauss rifles. Armor can be combat-grade, boosting stats, or purely decorative, and there are separate sets for mining, exploration, and combat. Pets assist in combat or exploration, and random anomalies can be both harmful and helpful.
Command center and diagrams
The base starts with a couple of open buildings and grows into a fortified command center with turrets, hangars, and repair drones, which must be defended, including from radiation storms. Using the PIOS system, you can assemble electrical circuits by dragging and dropping, from a simple lamp to your own logic gates. Resources can be used to craft hoverboards and large mechs. You can play solo or in co-op with friends. Download Edge Of Space You can download the game via torrent on your PC on this page. 2 GB of RAM is enough for the game.
