Axiom Verge 2 is an action-adventure game in which the main character, a girl named Indra, fights for her life in an alternate version of Earth with the help of nanomachines.
New story or continuation
The second part continues the story of the first game, but with new characters, a completely new world, and new enemies. The main character now has the ability to hack enemies, and bosses are now optional, with valuable prizes awarded for defeating them. The second part can be played independently of the first game's completion, although the general storyline is, of course, present. The game impresses with its gameplay and original plot.
Main advantages
In this part of the game, you'll need to utilize all your character's talents to battle opponents. New heroes, thoughtfully integrated into the overall storyline, will help you achieve this. During the game, you'll need to be extremely careful, as any mistake will not only impact the plot but could also lead to the death of the main character. Explore the area, eliminate enemies, and expand your inventory. The exciting adventures will amaze even the most seasoned gamer.
Features of the second part
As announced by NINTENDO, this sequel is one of the best Metroidvanias in recent years.
The creators were inspired by The Legend of Zelda series, and the design concepts were drawn from Horizon: Zero Dawn, Prey, and Shadow of the Colossus. The player determines the initial difficulty settings, meaning they control the damage inflicted and its consequences.
Bosses are no longer a mandatory part of the game. Defeating them will grant bonuses but won't affect the game's progress. The key aspect is the heroine's mental abilities, which she uses to hack enemies, rather than an impressive arsenal of weapons, as in other games.
Pixel graphics will appeal to retro game lovers.
The soundtrack, environment, story and enemies create a mixture of curiosity and fear in Axiom Verge 2.
