Changes: Added game hack, game only for VR! [Changelog]
Robinson The Journey – a virtual reality adventure from Crytek, released on PC in February 2017. Built on CRYENGINE specifically for VR, the game emphasizes a sense of scale: dinosaurs roam around you, and you look up at them.
Tyson III Crash
A boy named Robin is left alone after the ship Esmeralda crashes on the planet Tyson III. The planet was promised as a paradise for a new life, but in reality, it turned out to be much harsher. HIGs, the ship's artificial intelligence, flies alongside Robin, helping him survive, offering advice, and providing feedback. Together, they search for the missing crew and simultaneously try to understand the world around them. Keeping them company is a baby Tyrannosaurus named Laika.
Plot without videos
There are no cutscenes at all in the game. Everything that happens is seen through Robin's eyes, and the story unfolds as you explore the planet. Local creatures notice humans and react to their presence, so it's best to be cautious around large lizards. The world is densely packed with detail, and many things can be seen up close, picked up, and used. The gameplay is nonlinear: you can move anywhere, choose how to proceed, and return to familiar places.
What do you need to play?
This is a VR-only project; you can't play it without a headset. You'll need a SteamVR-compatible headset, Windows 8.1 or later, 8GB of RAM, and a GTX 970 or RX 480-class graphics card. You can use the headset's controllers or a gamepad. For those who enjoy exploring the game, the game offers rare finds and achievements.
