Academia School Simulator

Academia School Simulator – a top-down school management simulator from the Philippine studio Squeaky Wheel, the creators of Political Animals. Published by Paradox Interactive, it entered early access on September 8, 2017. The graphics are simple and cartoonish, but behind them lies a fairly detailed system of student and teacher needs.

A school according to your project

You decide what your school will be like. You can build science labs, a basketball court, and an art studio, or you can make do with the bare minimum and rely on government subsidies. Cafeterias, medical facilities, computer labs, and recreation areas are all available. You can hire strong teachers, or you can cram a hundred students into a single classroom. Even toilets can be limited, and then the students will run for the hills.

Students and teachers

Student motivation depends on hygiene, hunger, discipline, and other factors. Psychologist support can be provided for difficult teenagers, or they can be sent to a detention class. Over time, school life becomes more vibrant: students participate in activities and even fall in love. Each teacher has their own specialization and academic background, and their own needs, without which they cannot teach well. Routes can be set for cleaners to ensure cleanliness is maintained without unnecessary running around.

Modes and design

In normal mode, you have to stick to a budget and squeeze the best education out of it. In sandbox mode, money is endless, and you can build the school of your dreams. There are also scenarios with management challenges. The school is decorated with potted plants, statues, and fountains, and you can create your own coat of arms and motto.
