The army's composition gradually evolves and depends on the player's decisions. The campaign also responds to the commander's actions: in certain situations, the player can choose to accept battle or retreat, saving gold for further army development. Mages can further influence the course of battle by unleashing fireballs, freezing rain, and other powerful spells on their enemies.
