Edge of Destruction – a surreal first-person shooter with a nearly completely destructible environment, developed solo by developer Surin and published by Devotion Interactive. The game entered early access in March 2026, with the full version released in late July.
The World That Sarah Built
The heroine, Sarah, awakens after a mysterious car accident and finds herself in a terrifying, dream-like world. It turns out she unknowingly created this world herself to escape the consequences of a tragic mistake. Instead of facing the truth, Sarah decides to destroy everything around her. This is how the plot explains the core mechanics and sets the tone for the entire game: a story about guilt and escapism, told through gunplay and sci-fi imagery.
Walls won't save you
Almost everything can be destroyed: buildings, walls, individual objects. Cover here is temporary, and debris and collapsing structures injure not only enemies but also Sarah herself. Therefore, an explosion near a support can decide the battle in your favor, or it can cause the ceiling to collapse on your head. Boss battles are a special case: during the fight, they themselves change and reorganize the arena, and conventional tactics work poorly against them.
Linear storyline without an open world
There's no open world; the game is built as a single-player, linear story. The author worked on optimization to ensure the shooter ran on a wide range of hardware: a Core i5-7400 and a mobile GTX 1050 are sufficient, with about 3 GB of disk space required. Some of the voices were generated through ElevenLabs, as the author openly states. Download Edge of Destruction You can download it via torrent on your PC on this page.
