Changes:Updated to version Build 15586621.[Changelog]
Space Mechanic Simulator – an orbital repair simulator from Atomic Jelly, published by PlayWay. The game was previewed back in the 2010s, but was only released on August 11, 2023. Here, satellites, stations, and rovers are repaired, often in zero gravity or in the darkness of the night side of the planet.
First the diagram, then the wrench
A breakdown is rarely immediately apparent. To find the fault, you have to disassemble the circuits, measure electrical signals, temperature, and pressure, and only then delve inside. All the equipment is assembled from parts that operate according to a set of rules: before disconnecting a pipe, you must close a valve. The devices in the game are based on real industrial equipment, so many of the tasks resemble puzzles. The more complex the object, the more components it contains, requiring careful disassembly.
Spacesuit and supplies
The spacesuit has a canopy and stabilization, but oxygen, fuel, and power are depleted. When they run low, you need to fly back to the shuttle and replenish supplies, so each spacewalk requires planning. Spare parts can be purchased, or you can mine resources yourself. New tools and job types are unlocked through licenses awarded after training. Progress is tracked in a separate control center.
The entire solar system
The campaign contains over a hundred missions, spread across eight planets and other locations in the solar system. You can repair a satellite tracking a comet, fly low over a gas giant, or drive a rover across the surface of Mars. Unlike Mech Mechanic Simulator, where you repair giant robots in a workshop on Earth, half the challenges here are related to the environment itself: vacuum, zero gravity, and limited oxygen.
