WEGO World War II: Overlord

WEGO World War II: Overlord — is an operational hexagonal wargame system dedicated to the Allied landings in Western Europe. The game recreates the Normandy campaign, from the assault on Omaha Beach to the massive 135-turn operation. Fourteen historical scenarios are available, united by a common system that allows you to play against the AI, in hotseat mode, or in PBEM mode.

Decisions are made simultaneously

Unlike the traditional IGOUGO system, this game uses a WEGO mechanic: both sides plan their actions simultaneously, and then each turn is played out synchronously. This requires planning your orders in advance and accounting for the enemy's unknown movements. The fog of war obscures the exact location and numbers of enemy units, forcing you to think several steps ahead.

Combat takes place on stylized maps of Normandy with an overlaid hex grid regulating unit movement and deployment. Ground forces are represented by companies, battalions, and brigades, while aircraft perform reconnaissance, support, and bombing missions. Weather conditions directly impact supply and the effectiveness of operations.

Installation:
1. Unpack the archive (make sure the folder path has Latin characters only).
