Trackastrophe — is a puzzle game in which the player controls the route of an old train, plotting a path through colorful and constantly changing levels. Before each launch, the player must study the map, arrange the track elements, and plan the trajectory in advance. Once launched, the train moves automatically, and any miscalculation leads to an accident.
Route planning
The core gameplay revolves around placing and connecting track elements. The player analyzes the level's layout, obstacles, and available mechanics, then creates a route from start to finish. The train is unforgiving: a wrong angle, a missed element, or an incorrect sequence can lead to disaster.
As you progress, new level types and additional mechanics are unlocked. Tunnels, portals, slippery surfaces, and other elements change the train's behavior and require you to rethink your usual solutions. Bonus levels increase the challenge and test the player's ability to navigate multiple mechanics simultaneously.
