Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve — the first numbered installment of the cult flight simulator in seven years, compiled by Bandai Namco Aces on Unreal Engine 5. Featuring real fighters, a cinematic campaign, and the largest multiplayer in the series' history — download Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve You can download it via torrent right here.
The Fall of the Federation
July 2029, the fictional Strangereal universe. The Republic of Sotoa invades the weakened Federation of Central Usea, and the country falls under occupation. The player begins not as a hero, but as a weapons operator in the cockpit of an F/A-18F, behind Gene Cope, a legendary FCU ace with the callsign "Wings of Tiv." After they are shot down over the open ocean, everything changes, and the callsign is assumed by the player himself.
What follows is Joker Flight, the aircraft carrier "Steady," and a confrontation with the elite Shadows Unit. The fate of the Federation is determined by decisions made in the air: choices made in combat influence the outcome.
It's an arcade game, not a simulator.
The series has never focused on realistic flight physics, and the eighth installment remains true to that tradition: the controls are responsive and accessible, but with an Expert mode for those who crave barrel rolls, G-force turns, and the Cobra. The hangar is filled with real vehicles, each customizable to a greater degree than ever before — from armament to appearance.
The Annihilation Battle mode has returned, giving pilots the freedom to prioritize targets: solar power plants, ammunition depots, and supply hubs. A chain-destruction system is also in place: a destroyed target triggers nearby targets, and a well-chosen first target saves half your ammo. A separate section of the campaign features clashes with superweapons, a hallmark of the series.
Ace Combat Online
For the first time in the series' history, a full-fledged online hub has been added. Players enter the lobby, explore their own airbase, customize their avatar, and join cooperative and competitive modes with cross-platform play. Producer Manabu Shimomoto calls this the largest online experience in Ace Combat history. VR support, which was present in the seventh game, is absent.
Features of the game
