Verho - Curse of Faces

Verho — Curse of Faces is a dark role-playing game in the vein of King's Field, set after the end of the world, following the Age of Solitude. People hide behind masks, escaping a curse that transforms their faces into death. The reign of fear has been replaced by faith in legends of a savior, and the journey begins in ruins, where even breathing must be concealed.

The Face of Darkness

Yariv is a land without reflections, where mirrors are considered sacred. The winds carry the voices of the dead, and masks serve as the last barrier between sanity and madness. The city's shrines guard forbidden artifacts from which new destinies are forged. Each holds a secret, and none is achieved without pain.

The curse has spread to the very roots of the world. It lives in stones, plants, and breath. The hero walks through fog and silence to discover the truth about his face — and what it means to be human when humanity no longer exists. Salvation or power — a choice that will cost him his very essence.
