Into The Grid – a cyberpunk-themed card roguelike from Flatline Studios, released in Steam Early Access on November 10, 2025. It's a hybrid of deckbuilding and board games: between battles, you navigate the board, choosing a route, and deciding where to go now and where to return later. It shares only the name with the racing game GRID.
Hacker on the Internet
The action takes place on the Internet, an endless digital space where all information resides. The world is bleak: a dystopia plagued by crime, violence, and social injustice. The player controls a hacker, whose weapons are called programs, which act as cards in a deck. New programs are discovered through research, and excess programs can be used to improve those that are truly needed. At every turn, you must choose: fight or flee, take the reward immediately or wait for a better offer.
VIM Memory and Commands
The game's main feature is its dual resource system. Every card played functions as usual and also builds virtual memory, or VIM. This accumulated memory is spent on commands and powerful skills that are unlocked as you progress. This ensures that even a weak hand isn't wasted: if the cards you draw aren't good, they at least charge your command. The commands themselves are tailored to the deck, and the key skill here is timing them well. The hacker's console is also customizable: hardware modifications and bonuses tailor it to your style.
What's in Early Access?
