Dead Age

One sentence is enough to describe this game: a turn-based RPG with a Final Fantasy-esque combat system that involves fighting zombies, and if you're defeated, there's no recovery — death is permanent. It's enough to make you want to download a torrent. Dead Age, though, the developers have a very interesting description of the release date: "When there's no room left in hell," which will probably happen when hell breaks loose. However, there is early access.

Yes, the developer, Silent Dreams (known for Grotesque Tactics), has a good sense of humor. Judging by the photos and videos provided, it's clear they've already accomplished a lot. Interestingly, the gameplay is rendered in 3D, while any story-related cutscenes are 2D, drawn in a comic book style. The story itself is quite simple: the main characters survive a zombie apocalypse, join the resistance, and find no peace as they continue to survive. They must not only fight back, but also craft weapons to do so, and do a whole host of other things.
