This compact game is a cross between city-building and puzzle games: the settlement grows turn by turn, and each move requires careful consideration.

Colony by the passages

At the beginning, you have a tiny settlement on the red planet and a limited supply of resources. You need to expand your territory, construct new buildings, and ensure your colony has everything it needs. Since the game is turn-based, there's no rush, but every decision has a cost: an extra building today could result in a resource shortage in a couple of turns. For this reason, the creators call it a puzzle game rather than a classic city builder.

Three factions

The colony's inhabitants are divided into three groups: social, scientific, and industrial. Each has its own leaders and interests, and it's nearly impossible to please everyone. If you pull the blanket in one direction for too long, dissatisfied people will make their presence known. Random events also play into this: workers might go on strike, and smugglers might seize power. The game features drug and smoking themes, which is why it has a higher rating than you might expect for a Mars strategy game.

Campaign and scenarios

The main mode is a pre-built campaign. Once it's completed, you can launch individual scenarios: the maps for these are randomly generated, so each new colony begins differently.
