- a long and detailed plot: the game features a plot that is presented in parts over the course of several dozen missions and which tells the story of the future fate of the opposing factions, which seemed to have ended their conflict in the first part of the game;

- a system of military force improvements: now each unit can be improved depending on the level of your research, and if the unit is not fighting, then all improvements and upgrades can be deployed directly on the battlefield;
- Improved interface: This time, the developers took a serious approach to their interface, and now the player will need to perform fewer actions to complete certain tasks.
