Football Manager 2023 – a football manager from Sports Interactive, released on November 8, 2022. Its main difference from FM22 is its official UEFA license: the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League look just like they do on TV, with branded graphics, scoreboards, and goal screens.

Fans and career

FM23 now features a fan trust meter. Fans evaluate not only results but also the club's playing style, transfers, and how it manages its players. Selling a fan favorite or playing boring football will lower morale, which will impact management's attitude. A coach's entire career is compiled into a news feed: trophies, records, high-profile signings, and sackings.

Composition and tactics

Scouting meetings have been redesigned, agents now have more influence in negotiations, and squads can be planned for several seasons in advance. AI-controlled opponents have become more cunning and are more likely to change formations during matches. New setups have been added for off-the-ball play, with separate settings for defense and counterattacks. The match engine features new fullback and pivot play, and new animations have been added.
