The plot of the fourth part Alone In The Dark The story begins with the protagonist waking up, surrounded by machine guns. Edward remembers nothing and wonders why unknown villains suddenly want to kill him. But after some time, a mystical element begins to unfold. Edward later discovers that a magical stone is to blame, unleashing dangerous evil forces. Now, to destroy the enemy, the hero must traverse the "Path of Light." But he must hurry; time is running out.

This installment is a striking departure from previous installments in the series. Players can now view their character from both over-the-shoulder and first-person perspectives. Every item found in the environments can be used as a melee weapon. Fire and light are key to the gameplay. Only with their help can they defeat the many hostile creatures. Edward can avoid attacks from certain monsters while within the radius of a light source.

The game's creators did a fantastic job creating the hyper-realistic fire. The flames look incredibly realistic and captivating. Alone In The Dark — a rare project in which visuals play a special role in gameplay.
