Cooking Simulator VR – a cooking simulator for virtual reality headsets from the Cooking Simulator series, released on July 29, 2021. Published by Big Cheese Studio and PlayWay. Unlike Cooking Simulator 2: Better Together, here you cook alone and exclusively in VR, using your hands and controllers.

A kitchen where everything is real

You have access to a large restaurant kitchen with gas stoves, cooktops, ovens, knives, pots, spatulas, and blenders. Everything is ready to grab and use. Chopping, stirring, and pouring are physics-based, and the controllers vibrate. Food reacts to your actions: its temperature, texture, and appearance change as it cooks. The game features over 100 recipes and over 140 types of ingredients, from meat and fish to dairy products, spices, and herbs.

Career and sandbox

In Career mode, you start as a rookie in a small kitchen and gradually work your way up to head chef. Along the way, you unlock new recipes, your customers become more demanding, and you earn perks and skills, building your restaurant's reputation. In the sandbox, everything is open from the start. There, you can freely experiment or simply play with physics: chop food in mid-air in slow motion or arrange cutting boards like dominoes.

Fire and fire extinguisher

Kitchens are never without incident. Fires, spills, and even explosions are part of the game, so it's best to keep a fire extinguisher handy. The game won the VR category at the 2021 Steam Awards.
