Worthy.
A cool role-playing game, not all that hackneyed crap for kindergarteners and infantile children. You have to think and not play as a Zerg, but as a single character. A powerful, meaningful component.
In terms of difficulty, it's on par with Elder Ring. In my opinion, it even surpasses Fallout in terms of content and certainly surpasses Atom RPG.

It's a pity it hasn't been translated into Russian after so many years.

My reaction when I see a cool game without Russian translation is BRUH.

Well, go ahead and play Russian. What are you doing here? Just take the turmoil and go.

Reviews: "cool role-playing game", "requires thinking", "powerful semantic component", "for hardcore fans".
Reality (on the second difficulty): - A VERY overcomplicated, illogical trading system that goes out of its way to prevent you from earning money (multiple currencies, a strict, illogical limit on merchants' money despite their exorbitant prices, a limit on item sales that forces you to run back and forth instead of playing, and much more). For example, I spent three hours trying to sell my backpack (and still didn't sell it), then stupidly discovered a flaw in the system and started exploiting it. So why was this system created? A supposed realism that doesn't exist?
- A rather interesting-looking, but equally illogically overcomplicated crafting, where you, the number one gunsmith, can't remove a sight or a suppressor or much else without a lot of fuss and a loss of barrel quality. And how fun it is to make ammo... Or throw away knife blades and other things because the metal is "unusable."
The game barely rewards you for somehow getting into a tricky spot early (and I'm not even talking about gear... you can't even read the terminal info to find out what kind of mess you're in, and you rarely have much of an impact on the security system, even if you're a skilled hacker). As for gear, the only interesting thing I found was a purple grenade launcher, which is worse than the one I...
- Weapons that break quickly are annoying and can be solved with the same trading exploit.
- A useless and VERY slow leveling system where you might not notice an enemy standing at point-blank range, but they'll spot you quickly and easily. And even if you equip an uber-cool stealth attachment and even hack your perception and stealth, nothing much will change.
Again, I decided to check if I was stupid. I hacked the stats, skills, and installed 40 perks (instead of 3) - many enemies are still stronger than the player.
A good example of "you need to think" is when, right at the beginning of the game, I felt compelled to focus on the body in the morgue instead of the storyline. So far, things are bad, despite having already found all the clues. I still need to check one more place and try a few things, but I have a strong feeling the main plot is blocked. Another example is when you find a pig on his last legs, bleeding and whining that nothing's helping, so you save him... by bandaging him... (By the way, the bleeding doesn't bother him at all until you get close enough to initiate a conversation.)
The controls aren't very user-friendly, which means you occasionally mess up your keystrokes. Texture transparency isn't implemented by default (when they're in your line of sight), so you have to constantly use the TAB key. There's no anti-aliasing, so without forcing 4K resolution, the game looks pretty drab. With 4K, it's gorgeous, but the interface is a bit small.
- Etc. And this is only a little further than the beginning of the game.

Ultimately, the hardcore in this game is completely hollow and pointless, and the role-playing component is still worse than in Fallout 2, and the world feels more empty and static, despite being larger. Well, maybe the immersive sim component works a little better, but I can't figure out how to complete certain missions without killing (without exploiting the game's system flaws).

P.S. If you really want to play without the developers' quirks, choose the first difficulty. And if even that seems too difficult or drawn-out, break the game in the areas you don't like.

Either I'm playing this game wrong, or I don't know. I dumped all my loot into a chest and just hacked the amount of loot into pieces, so I could spend even less time worrying about trading, and then went to play:

This is the third location where it's clear you can get to it in different ways (depending on your leveling), but there's no unique reward and no information about the location. In the first location, there's a bunker-cum-extra with bugs (very difficult). Save the girl at the end – zero interesting rewards. In the second, there's a bunker-cum-extra, kill the cultists (quite difficult). Why kill them? What kind of place/people are these? How do I know the cultist's name? Why can't I talk to them and negotiate? Are these the same people who killed the corpse? Never mind... Well... at the end, we'll give you a ring (most likely from that corpse, maybe not), and maybe we'll even explain something, but later. And in the last post, there was exactly the same bunker-cum-extra.

They gave out more lore for the first main, super-short, quest location than for the three bunkers mentioned above.

dragonius,
Try the following:
Rehash the distribution
Go to the properties of the "Setup.exe" file. If there is an "Unblock" option, check the box next to it and apply the changes. Only then run the installation.
Also check if you have enough free disk space and if there are any Russian letters in the installation path.

So, final thoughts:
The plot and its progression, as well as the passage of story locations, are made very interesting and varied.
The world is big.
The game is fun if: you like Fallout-style games, you don't mind the story at the start, you can push through the unreasonable difficulty at the start, and you focus on leveling up one of the branches; and you're not intimidated by the gameplay.

Cons: The main one is that the game, for some reason, is made EXTREMELY awkward and unappealing from a gameplay perspective; I'd even say it's outdated. And the developers are trying their best to prevent you from getting the good stuff too early because you're starting to push them.
(So... hello: poor trading and, as a result, so-so crafting; a practically unusable map; a facepalm-inducing stealth skill even under an invisibility field; a hard lock on minimal action points; a separate hard lock on maximum accuracy and, as a result, 5 misses in a row; a hard lock on the quality of items for sale beyond the main storyline; weapons that break quickly; flashlights that drain quickly and... much more.)

The second, main one. Large, empty locations with meager rewards for exploration, poor environmental insight, and often illogical side quests that prevent them from being completed in a specific way (as well as the occasional hard lock after the main storyline. The corpse mentioned in the posts above is an example).

Different, nothing to add or subtract. Now I understand why I tried to approach this game three times, and all three times it tired and stressed me out so much that I dropped before even halfway through... My only question for those who have played the game: has anything improved in the game recently?
