Crypto Mining Simulator – a mining rig building simulator, released on Steam on April 24, 2021, under the developer's playful nickname, Satosha Nakamoti. The game is set in the cryptocurrency world of 2021: you buy hardware, assemble rigs yourself, and start mining.
DIY assembly
Each machine is assembled piece by piece. You need to select and install the motherboard, processor, RAM, SSD, fans, and graphics cards, then connect everything with wires and cables. In addition to mining rigs, you can also build a regular gaming computer and mine on it. Parts are purchased at a local computer store; there's a wide selection of components, so the same rig can be assembled in many different ways, depending on your budget.
Mining system and watt meter
After assembly, a simulated mining operating system with settings and statistics is launched on the rig. The mining algorithm and profitability are designed to be as close to real as possible. Component temperature and power consumption are also taken into account, so simply stuffing a room with video cards without calculations won't work. You can customize the room to your liking and gradually transform it into a full-fledged mining rig.
A thousand video cards
There's plenty of room for growth: the developers are talking about rigs with over a thousand video cards and a processing power of over 50 GH/s. The road to this is long, from the first rig with a couple of cards to racks where the hardware hums nonstop. Trading BTC, ETH, LTC, DOGE, and XRP, VR support, and a network mode are currently only listed as plans in the game description.
