The map features 195 countries, each with its own borders, population, and valuable resources. Starting with a small nation and modest wealth, you'll build up your industry, increase your military might, and gradually subjugate your neighbors until the entire world is under your control.

The Path to Dominance

Develop production, generate income, and invest in your army to increase its combat power. Each new victory expands your territory and facilitates subsequent conquests, but success depends on more than just troop numbers. Some countries are rich in oil and fertile lands, while others strengthen their neighbors' defenses or open routes to island nations. Choose appropriate avenues of attack, assemble troops at the borders, and exploit the unique characteristics of each territory. You'll compete with three AI-controlled generals who develop according to the same rules, wage war against each other, and attack your borders. Before each cycle, choose a military doctrine: economic mobilization, blitzkrieg, or war of attrition. Countries can be captured by force or their loyalty can be purchased, turning them into vassals who pay tribute and grant you access to their resources. At the end of the cycle, you're allowed to use nuclear weapons for permanent improvements, or you can choose to forgo them and save resources for the next world.
