Serve Or Die – a psychological horror film about the night shift at a small sandwich shop from the indie studio Dead Tape Studio, released on September 4, 2026. The film is stylized to resemble old VHS tapes, and the horror comes from the very ordinary work behind the counter.
Alone at the sandwich shop
You're working the night shift, and you're the only one in the establishment. Your tasks are simple: take an order, assemble a sandwich, deliver it to the customer, and keep the business running smoothly. At first, everything goes smoothly, and the game feels more like a miniature cooking simulator. It's this routine that creates the basis for fear: your hands are busy with your usual tasks, but you have to focus on those standing behind the counter.
Strange guests
The shift quickly becomes anything but ordinary. Some customers act strangely. Others clearly know more than they should. And some look like they don't belong there at all. Meanwhile, work hasn't been canceled, orders continue to come in, and every new client can bring trouble. The developers warn that the game contains threats, stalking, home invasion-like situations, and implied violence, but no explicit scenes.
VHS aesthetics
The game's visual style evokes old VHS tapes, and this retro imagery perfectly sets the mood for unsettling moments. The game is single-player, and features achievements and Steam stats. Requirements are low: a GTX 750 Ti and 8GB of memory are sufficient. Download Serve Or Die You can download it via torrent on your PC on this page.
