GRAIN ROT

GRAIN ROT is a co-op horror game with evacuation elements, set in cursed underground ruins, constantly transformed by the mysterious Rot. The player controls Spark, imprisoned in a fragile wooden vessel that can shatter at any moment. Even after the destruction of her body, the journey doesn't end — Spark continues to exist, attempting to find a new vessel and return to the expedition before her power fades completely.

Descent into the Living Ruins

Each expedition takes place in procedurally generated dungeons, where players must search for resources, destroy furniture, mine gold, and rescue survivors. The materials obtained are used to develop the camp, unlock new upgrades, and prepare for future expeditions. During their exploration, the team encounters unusual Cursed Vessels that react to sounds, movements, and surrounding events, so each encounter requires caution and constant communication between players.

A flexible physics system allows for a variety of uses of the environment, often turning teamwork into chaos. Players can accidentally interfere with each other, be attacked by allies, lose vessels, and then continue their journey as Spark, helping their comrades find a way out and a new host. As they progress, the Rot gradually alters the characters' bodies, unlocking additional effects and making further survival more challenging.
