Dire Echo is a first-person psychological horror game in which the investigation into the mysterious disappearance of a crew becomes a struggle with one's own fear. While on a routine space mission, an astronaut receives an additional assignment to check the scientific vessel Echo-7, which has lost contact after a geomagnetic storm. From the outside, the ship appears functional, but inside, a frightening emptiness greets him.
No trace of the crew
The corridors, living quarters, and work areas remain untouched, as if the people had vanished only minutes ago. Personal belongings remain in their places, equipment continues to operate, and the ship's systems report no serious malfunctions. The deeper one progresses through the station's compartments, the stronger the feeling that what happened defies conventional explanation.
The main source of tension is the environment itself. The confined space, the lack of communication with the crew, and the endless silence force you to listen carefully to every sound. Gradually, a sense of alien presence emerges, making even a simple exploration of the ship feel like a dangerous ordeal.
